→ New DJI RS 5 gimbal announced: B&H Photo | WEX Photo | Foto Erhardt (additional information).

→ Topaz Labs released several new fidelity models across their apps. These updates focus on more natural detail, reduced artifacts, and improved consistency across different content types. → MonsterAdapter LA-FZ1 AF adapter firmware update version 1.2 released:

Fixed an issue where the aperture motor would continuously produce noise or flickering when fully open in some cases.
Fixed an issue where the AF Zoom-Nikkor 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5D IF could not focus.

The latest Chinese lenses for Nikon Z-mount updates

→ Viltrox filed a patent related to the Nikon Z mount in China for using mounting claws for securing the lens to the camera: the ring is fixed to the base, with claws positioned inside the ring for lens attachment – see the drawings here (patent CN121115381A).

→ The SG-Image 25mm f/1.8 APS-C lens for Nikon Z-mount will also be released in silver.

→ Yongnuo is teasing a lens with a newly developed VCM motor.

→ 7Artisans AF 40mm f/2.5 FF lens additional information.

I was excited to read the recent piece from NR suggesting that a Z 300mm f/2.8 might be released later this year. For the past decade, the DSLR version has been my primary telephoto lens. Although my VR I copy is very old, it has proven to be consistently reliable.
